May 25, 2002 from 4:00 to 8:30pm FIRST NEIGHBORHOOD COMMUNITY CENTER 31830 Village Center Rd., Westlake Village, CA 91361 Food, music, games,etc. Enjoyed music and dancing to the tunes of the Octoberfest Band. Kids and adults had games to play. Food and drinks were provided. Goodwill offerings accepted at door. Attendees came from Saint Jude's and St. Maximilian's Parishes. Knights of Columbus Basketball 2002 Free-Throw Competition Sweep! The final results of the Free Throw were 19 participants. Will wonders never cease!!!  From Paul Rapp, Past Grand Knight A 1st degree was held on November 20th at St. Julie's hall in Newbury Park. This was the third time that St. Jude's newly formed team held a Degree ceremony. On Tuesday evening, October 23rd, our council team administered the first degree to nine candidates. Among them was Deacon Gilberto of St. Jude's. Congratulations to Deacon Gilberto! On Saturday, November 10, 2001, Council 8072 hosted a luncheon for handicapped persons at St. Jude's hall. About a dozen of our members prepared and served lasagna, salad, rolls, and ice cream to 84 guests. A special thanks to all who helped. Congratulations to Larry Conti, who became a 2nd Degree Knight on November 27, 2001 in Moorpark. Ventura County Mentally Retarded Drive Results We have succeeded in surpassing the amount of money collected last year for the mentally retarded children of Ventura County. The unnofficial total is $1,594.29.
